Community Connections

This program has fostered a significant thriving and committed alumni community devoted to recovery. Graduates and their families are encouraged to give back by attending meetings, sponsoring new families and helping others start their 12-step journey.

The AARC Alumni Board

A Community of Support

The AARC Alumni Board is a dedicated group of parents and family members who have supported youth through treatment and remain deeply involved in the AARC community. These individuals continue to give back by organizing and hosting annual events such as the Alumni Homecoming, the chili cookoff, and Memorial Night, a time to honor those who have passed. Additionally, the board volunteers at AARC fundraising initiatives and offers scholarships to deserving graduates. Through these efforts, they provide a strong, supportive network for both parents and alumni post-treatment. Bekki M. currently serves as the president of the Alumni Board.

"Addiction can't be a shameful secret. AARC taught me that I have a voice and a choice. I want to help other parents learn that there is a solution to a disease that affects so many people."

4Boys Fund

Counselling Grants for Graduates & Families

The 4Boys Fund is in memory of four AARC graduate boys who passed away after a courageous battle with addiction. It is intended to provide financial support to any AARC graduate requiring additional funding for specialized addiction and/or mental health treatment. Further, to provide funding for grief counselling for any member of the immediate family of the AARC graduate.

The four boys, whom this fund is named after, would be proud to lend support in this fashion. They are forever remembered in the beautiful benches crafted so meticulously by Ron Lepard and Jeff Ogilvie for Peter Brodie, Ben Cory, Jeremy McKenzie, and Kevin Spiegelmann.
